Greater Jerusalem 2030 Conference on Energy Independence & Becoming Green
Sunday, May 2, 4:00 pm at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center, Jerusalem.
The Movement for Strengthening of Greater Jerusalem, with the Jerusalem Business Networking Forum, and iConsortium will be organizing a half day conference dedicated for the vision for Greater Jerusalem, the City and its outlaying neighborhoods or towns, such as Mevasseret Zion, Pisgat Zeev, Givat Zev, Binyamin Area, Betar Illit and Gush Etzion.
The conference will be in Hebrew.
The conference will have three sessions:
1) Sustainable Jerusalem – transforming Jerusalem into a Green City. An ambitious program for generating most of the City’s energy from renewable sources will be presented and thus achieving energy independence.
2) Development of the local economy, industry and business and addressing the building shortage
3) Furthering Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and of the Jewish people, by strengthening its culture, transport, sustainability, education, employment, housing, tourism, water and renewable energy sources. The conference will conclude with the establishment of the Greater Jerusalem Council with members of the Jerusalem City Council and from councils of other neighboring towns and regions.

Greater Jerusalem includes the City and its outlaying neighborhoods or towns, such as Mevasseret Zion, Pisgat Zeev, Givat Zev, Binyamin Area, Betar Illit and Gush Etzion.
The conference is also being supported by the Menachem Begin Heritage Center, Zionist Council in Israel, Israel Asociation of Renewable Energy Industries, and the Zionist Consul.
